Abstract

This study aims to highlight the importance of sport in promoting children's social adaptation by examining the role of sporting activities in developing the social, psychological, and educational dimensions of their personality. The study adopted a descriptive-analytical approach through the review and analysis of literature and previous studies related to sport and social adaptation. The findings revealed that participation in sports contributes significantly to the development of children's social skills and enhances values such as cooperation, respect, discipline, and responsibility. It also helps children establish positive relationships with their peers and facilitates their integration into different social groups. Furthermore, sport serves as an effective educational tool for transmitting social norms and values, which positively influences children's psychological and social adjustment and their ability to interact effectively with their environment. The study emphasizes the importance of promoting school sports and physical activities for children and providing appropriate sports facilities to encourage wider participation in sporting activities.
