The Effect of Skill Performance Endurance Exercises Accompanied by Creatine Monohydrate Supplementation on Some Physiological Variables of Advanced Taekwondo Players

The study aimed to identify the effect of skill performance endurance exercises accompanied by creatine monohydrate supplementation on certain physiological, physical, and motor variables among advanced Taekwondo players. The researcher used the experimental method with two experimental groups due to its suitability to the nature of the research problem. The research population consisted of Premier League Taekwondo players in Baghdad Governorate for the 2024–2025 season, totaling (30) players representing the clubs of Al-Shorta, Al-Karkh, Al-Amanah, and Al-Kahrabaa. The main sample consisted of (16) players selected randomly and divided equally into two experimental groups, with (8) players in each group, while (8) players were assigned for the pilot study. The first experimental group performed skill performance endurance exercises accompanied by creatine monohydrate supplementation, whereas the second experimental group performed the same exercises without supplementation. The training program lasted for (8) weeks with three training sessions per week. The tests included endurance of front and back circular kicks performance, speed-strength, coordination, motor balance, and physiological variables including heart rate, blood lactate concentration, and LDH enzyme levels.The results showed significant differences in favor of the first experimental group in physical abilities and skill performance endurance, indicating the effectiveness of skill endurance exercises accompanied by creatine monohydrate supplementation in improving the physical and physiological performance of Taekwondo players. However, no significant differences were found between the two groups in some motor abilities such as balance and coordination. The researcher recommended the inclusion of skill performance endurance exercises accompanied by nutritional supplements within Taekwondo training programs and conducting similar studies on different samples and age groups.
