A Comparative Study of the Anthropometric Profile of Obese and Overweight Children from Constantine Practicing

The objective of this study is to highlight and then compare body composition: BMI, fat mass, muscle mass, bone mass and waist circumference of: shot putters, judokas and obese and overweight college students. We used the descriptive methodology, by applying anthropometric measurements on 03 groups composed of 16 children each whose characteristics: BMI= 25.985 ± 3.979, 25.072 ± 3.678 and 26.097 ± 6.934 Kg/m² successively. Analysis of the results obtained showed: No statistically significant difference between these three groups in BMI and fat mass. A statistically significant difference between these three groups for the group of judokas in muscle mass (p<0.05) and bone mass (p<0.01). A statistically significant difference between these three groups for the PSE group in the waist circumference (p<0.05).ر
