Abstract

This study aimed to identify the reasons that lead to the spread of the phenomenon of the dropout of karate-do juniors from continuing to train from the point of view of the dropouts themselves. The study concluded that social reasons contribute to the spread of the phenomenon of the dropout of karate-do juniors from continuing to train from the dropout point of view, while economic reasons contribute somewhat to the spread of this phenomenon and based on these results, the researcher recommends:

-   Activating the role of the media in spreading the sports culture of karate-do.

-   Highlighting the karate-do tournaments and marketing them well.

-   Providing a suitable financial incentive for players that is close to the incentives of some other sports such as football.

-   Providing moral motivation through continuous honoring of players and hosting in sports programs.

-   Increasing the family's interest in children and encouraging them to continue practicing sports.

-   Providing sports equipment for the player.
