Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the role of sports practice in developing social behavior among fifth-grade primary school pupils, focusing on its impact on social adaptation and group cohesion. To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive method was adopted, and a questionnaire was administered to a purposive sample of 60 pupils from selected primary schools in the Wilaya of M’sila. The results revealed a statistically significant positive effect of sports practice on the development of social behavior among pupils. Findings indicated that physical activity effectively enhances social adaptation and strengthens group cohesion by promoting cooperation, discipline, and positive interaction among students.

In light of these findings, the study concluded that sports practice represents an effective educational tool for building a balanced social personality among pupils. It also recommends strengthening physical education activities within schools due to their essential role in fostering proper social development.
